As a follow-up to yesterday's survey... (Patreon)

I've decided the best idea for everyone is to not make a Discord server at all. Read below if you'd like to know why.

While there were Pros and Cons to having a Discord server, whether it be Patreon-exclusive or open to the public, with the vote so close to the middle it just meant that no matter which one we chose, a lot of people would have been disappointed.

Furthermore, both versions of the Discord opened the door to a list of problems we don't have now: Cardigans being unhappy with Moderator election and their decisions, Cardigans fighting, and any potential nastiness that might arise from having a community potentially tarnishing the CardlinAudio name, as it would be officially endorsed.

In the end, I couldn't think of a solution that didn't leave a large chunk of the community feeling unheard, underrepresented, or left out. As the whole goal of CardlinAudio is to bring people comfort and help heal, the Discord server ended up being too much of a liability.

That having been said, the ability to create Fan servers of your own is still very much an option to everyone. There are already a few out there, and Cardigans are becoming friends every day. While we continue to search for a way to bring the community closer together, I want to thank you for continuing to hear out my ideas, as ridiculous as they may be, and for your infallible, unwavering support. Seriously yall, thanks. ^_^
