Commission: Caitlin (Patreon)

I designed this character along side the person who commissioned the idea @ShabadaBlue on twitter. The following is an excerpt about the character:

The Cumberland Mountains are known to attract mountain climbers, hikers and explorers or teens that want some peace and quiet away from the towns. But with a lot of visitors to the mountains comes the risk of accidents. Sometimes a group gets broken up or climbing doesn’t go as expected or even some of the wildlife gets a little too aggressive. Caitlin is one of a few rangers among the mountains who aid in ensuring people who do get caught in these unfortunate situations are otherwise in good hands.

Among the few rangers who have outposts up in the mountains, her section is probably the least travelled. Being secluded at her cabin high up in the mountains she has few people to talk to save for other rangers through her emergency radio system. For Caitlin cabin fever is inevitable. The only time she ever happens to find company is when encountering the sparse number of hikers in her neck of the woods or during rescue missions she's called for.

Along with her regular uniform, she often carries a barrel of whiskey around her neck. The other rangers tend to joke about it and say “You’re not a St. Bernard! You don’t need to wear a barrel around your neck!” But it was just something her family was keen on. There was never a time in her household where there wasn’t a bottle or barrel of whiskey to aid in any ailments. Of course, she now has access to many other antibiotics and medicines for any unfortunate soul who is in need of her assistance. But whiskey tends to be a more practical and better known elixir around these parts anyways.

Despite the remoteness of her cabin and the lack of basic amenities, Caitlin is fortunate enough to be in close proximity to a river. A decent food source and ideal place to wash up with barely anyone around. The risk of being caught bathing in the nude is next to none though not as if she’s worried about that slim chance. Controlling her sex drive is half the reason she took this job in the first place . . . Although the temptation gets a little overwhelming when she finds that occasional, frightened, alone, injured and handsome soul. Yes, Caitlin has always had a weakness for injured boys that plagues her to this day. They may need to find a way to repay her after she nurses them back to health.
