So they're literally studying from 7a-10p, and then go home to study more. It's all in preparation for and everything rides on their college entrance exams (SAT) It's a lot of pressure, hence one the highest suicide rate in the world”

The dolphin that was in the courtroom is the orca dolphin (killer whale). Earlier in in the episode she was telling Attorney Jung that the kids are like the orca whale trapped to perform. I think it being in the courtroom and leaving the courtroom when the son hugged the children was supposed to represent freedom like she completed the case the way it was supposed to be since everyone, the son and the kids, were happy all around.

I read a comment somewhere that due to this episode some things were changed in South Korea in regards to these academies and education. If true, that would be great for the kids. This show just gets better each episode. Love your reactions!

The school system is hard af in Korea. As a teacher at a hagwon/English Kindergarten, it can be tough seeing the after-school kids come in and they are dumb tired. One time a kid fell asleep in class while waiting for the other kids to finish the test and literally no one could wake him up. After that day I'd move through my material in a way so that I can sneak in 2min naps between sections for the kids.It's not a lot but at least they could rest their eyes until break and then they could nap for 10 minutes. Classes end at 6 and most kids go to another hagwon after or to a music/sport practice. One of my students went to an academy for dance and singing because she wants to be an idol, after classes. One of my morning kindergarten kids had a hard time when they were put into a math hagwon. He said his teachers there would scold him a lot. and like but he's like 5/6 years old?? like why??? My neighborhood had soo many art and music hagwons so I'd see kids running in and out of the GS and CU all the time. I could go out after work, come home around 9 and these babies are finally going home. Their lives are tough. Not saying kidnapping is right but like I get it in this situation lol. Cuz there were so many days where I wanted to be like fuck it and just let the kids sleep for 30 min or let them play and just talk to me and answer all their little questions and such.
