The whole conflict between Saeroyi and Dae-hee began when Saeroyi refused to kneel before him and his son. But years later, Saeroyi finds himself in the same predicament when he needs information from Dae-hee to save Yi-seo who was kidnapped by Geun-won. And there was only one way Dae-hee would give him the information he needed. This time, Saeroyi actually kneels. The thing is, it was at this moment when Saeroyi realised that in exchange for the life of the woman he loved, kneeling in front of Dae-hee was the easiest thing to do. Pride and rivalry be damned. I think we can all agree that there are a lot of things more important than our own ego. They only become difficult to distinguish when our hearts are way too clouded by our own self-righteousness. And this is the invaluable lesson — you don’t always have to prove that you’re right.

Dae Hee is the Jangga Ceo btw … To me the scene where his kneeling was really powerful. It’s not an act out of cowardice. Like you said the whole kneeling thing was always directed to Sae Ro Yi and he doesn’t mind taking the hell out of it. Now it has come to a point of life and death of someone he loves. Not even Yi Seo you can replace her with Seung Kwon for example , I do believe he would still do the same thing and kneel. There’s a point where we have to let go of our pride for the greater good. How Sae Ro Yi life principle is always about the people, so it already proves that he’ll go lengths to protect his people. Love yalls reaction btw always do but I might have to disagree with yall for that scene in particular. Can’t wait to see your reaction for the final episode! You will actually realise him kneeling was all worth it in the end.

I think he could kneel because he is no longer motivated by revenge. After talking to he dad he now wants to live life focused on love rather than hatred.

I agree with the other comments. I think he could kneel because he's learned that the people around him are more important than pride or revenge. He learned that after his father's death. I think Janga president has never learned this and that's why he's smiling when Sae Ro Yi kneels. He doesn't understand that even though he kneeled, Sae Ro Yi doesn't feel like he's lost anything. So who's really the winner? I hope you watch the post credit scene of the final episode. It's sweet💜.

Here's something to think about with the ending scene: Every time Park Sae Ro Yi was asked to get on his knees, it was for self-serving reasons - to not get expelled, to get out of jail, to not lose his building. And he never got on his knees, to stick to his principles of not taking the easy way out. However, this time it was about more than himself. It was about a human life. If he didn't get on his knees this time, someone close to him would get hurt. This scene shows that he grew as a person because he realised the lives of the people he loves are more important than his pride. He didn't kneel to save himself - he kneeled to save someone else. And that is a win in my book. It shows he's a bigger person. This also shows you the difference between Sae Ro Yi and The Chairman. The only time The Chairman kneeled was to save his own company. But the only time Sae Ro Yi did it was to save someone else.

EZ

yeah he would never get on his knees for himself but he would for people he loves! all the times he was asked to kneel before was to get himself out of trouble

What I find most interesting about this scene is that when Oh Soo Ah asks Saeroyi to give up his revenge for her and leave jangga alone, he wouldn’t. However, in order to save the life of Jo Yi Seo, he didn’t hesitate. I think his ability to give up his pride and revenge for something he values more is the conclusion of his true character arc. He made peace with his dad, and he has something to live for now other than revenge. Saeyori is 100% devoted to his people. Of course he is not going to abandon them for his own pride and ego. That’s what makes him different from the chairman. The chairman chose himself and the company over his own son. Saeroyi could never.

It’s interesting that because there is also romantic feelings you also didn’t remember that she has always been one of his people outside of his feelings for her. Suddenly your attitude becomes look out for yourself, love is dumb, your pride is more valuable than love. Lol. Guys-who hurt y’all? Someone did y’all wrong to make you so jaded about love and romance. I hope better things for y’all in the future.
