Hades 88

No offense but I feel that the story it's just too deep for you to get it, her character it's someone in pain, not someone evil

Lily Hernandez

She definitely has sleep paralysis. At the moment, it's clear that she is haunted by her childhood/mother, whether its ONLY memories or her mother's actual ghost. She freezes at night and her mothers image or ghost is floating above her. Let's not forget that she stole that figurine from the director's office, and she put it on the table of her room. When the director was looking for the missing firgurine, he mentioned he uses it for his sleep too. NO SPOILERS ,ONLY BASED ON WHAT YALL HAVE SEEN BUT Also she didnt really come between the brothers, she just manipulates and takes advantage of situations to get gangtae to come to her. It was clear that she didnt force sangtae into her car, that she doesnt have to lie to gangtae and that sangtae himself read the contract and he chose to sign it,but she still took advantage of bringing sangtae to her house but she didnt exactly kidnap them. She is wicked in many ways, and definitely can be cruel. But when I would watch the show, I noticed she was mostly cruel when it came to being the only one who tells the facts. She tells the honest truth and even if it comes out harshly, she isnt wrong. Like when she told the woman at the hospital how she isnt her mother and that her actual mother is dead. It was cruel ,especially with the way she told the poor woman, but Munyeong didnt lie. Gangtae does live for his brother and is clearly unhappy with his life. Sangtae was reciting what gangtae once told him mother. Sangtae belongs to himself, just like gangtae belongs to himself. This issue between them ,existed before he met munyeong, the only thing is that as an adult, gangtae just became used to the way his life was even if he became unhappy,he became used to holding it in and thinking for one person, sangtae. I feel like she is not innocent at all and is wicked but at the same time, i cant say that when things go down, that it's her fault. When gangtae and sangtae fought, I blamed her for it but as I'm rewatching this show, I'm noticing that while she caused lots of things to happen and has been mean to ppl,I dont blame her for the fight between the brothers. She clearly adds more stress into gangtae's life and doesnt listen or respect him but many of his problems existed before she came into his life,he just kept it inside. And held himself back, but she often tells him off when he holds things inside. Everyone has issues though lol, so my point is that I wouldnt just focus on munyeong when the brothers fight or when something bad happens. Munyeong isnt innocent but its not her fault that gangtae looks unhappy all the time. She just happens to make his personal problems more visible to him whenever she starts annoying him and often tells him off with the harsh truth.

The car screeching noises were not from Ko Moon-young’s flashback but from the delusional ladies memories of her daughter dying in a car accident. She was forced to confront these memories as Ko Moon-young spoke about her mother being dead and how she found her body. It’s a little confusing but the nurse explained how her daughter died a few scenes before.

strange& sleepless

Actually the last petal was 'no', it was saying that she shouldn't help him. But she decided to not listen to it and help him nontheless. Many things she does might be fucked up and she certainly does things for her own gain. But I don't see an evil person in her, what I see is someone that's traumatised, struggling and lonely. And her saying things like 'you can't leave or I'll kill you' is not her actually threatening him. She's just so desperate that she'd say anything in order to make him stay even though she doesn't mean it.

Oh my god! They saw my comment <3

i think people fail to look at her situation i think people see how she is currently without seeing what made her that way harsh people are made not born that way and also i think she points out the truth but in a harsher and cruel way but you can never say it wasn't truthful i think at times it is needed because she sometimes says the things people view as cruel but honest i think she fixes situation's by doing the things people aren't willing to do even if it is messed up its truthful

YESSSS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS TRYING TO SAY. She is the type of person that's very "You might hate me for it,but someone had to do it". The good thing about gangtae is that he calls her out though and doesnt applaud her behavior when she does something toxic for no reason which is good. She was needed tbh, when she supposedly kidnapped the politicians son, it was all fun and games til we saw how everything actually was over. We saw him vent and expose his feelings and abuse. There are times she is harsh but most of the times she reads people or calls them out, sis is not wrong. She gave the reality check to many who needed it and at the same time, she also got to grow. She also clearly had a bad childhood and as they watch more episodes ,i hope they catch certain things about her childhood, well ous . Cuz ik lou isnt trynna give anything away, and he clearly knows things lol and tries to point out things when ous misses them

I think what Munyeong did with taking in Sangtae was probably harsh and too sudden for Gangtae, but she didn't really make them fight.. He's 35 years old and chose to live with her himself. That was too sudden for Gangtae and failed to realize that his brother can be independent too. It seemed bad then but I think this actually can be a good step for everyone in the long run, so I don't blame her that much.

Y’all should watch Girl from nowhere on Netflix

Yes! This is what I was looking for. I think a lot of watchers are too focused on her crazy actions to the point where they don’t see her struggle or trauma. So far it has shown her traumatic childhood, and we can obviously see her mother is a big reason why she is this way. She suffers from sleep paralysis due to her traumatic child experiences. When that lady mistook her for her daughter, Munyeong believed her for a second, and I feel like most people didn’t notice how when the lady kept saying “mom” to her, it tormented her to the point where she left everything, went straight home, and wouldn’t even eat because of the abuse she suffered from her own mom. Yes Munyeong is cruel and wicked most times, but she suffers from extreme trauma. When Gangtae moved in and it started showing more of Munyeong’s story, I realized she “holds” Gangtae because she wants to be loved. She always cared for him since she was a kid, but was forced to push him away. She lived her entire life alone and trapped. Through all of the crazy, she’s broken inside as well.
