Jimin is originally from Busan he went to Seoul to pursue his dream of being a singer. Fun fact Jimin is actually a math genius, he excelled at everything especially math, he originally attended a regular school where of course he was at top of his classes. If I'm not mistaken and when he decided to start dancing he ended up going to an arts high school where again he remained at the top of his classes not only as a dancer but in his regular classes as well. A lot of people were surprised since usually, dancers weren't taking those classes nor really cared but Jimin excelled in everything. He was I think "president" of his class or something like that I don't remember correctly. Also throughout his school career every time he moved all his teachers were sad to see him leave since he was seen as somewhat as a prodigy in math in his regular school and dance in his arts school but they knew it was his dream.

Since you asked "where was Jimin before he came to seoul?" He came from Busan. None of the members are from Seoul.
