I'm glad they had a really hot fun idea involving pokemon. I really am happy I got to paint a dragonite, it's super outside my scope and it was fun to get to try and portray them. I've been looking a lot at the card art of pokemon cards lately, and there's something very pure and nostalgic about it. I especially enjoy the mixed media ones made out of wool and stuff like that, it feels cool that they are willing to let the art be so dynamic and unique. Theres a modern dragonite that feels very old school pokemon art so it was nice to shoot for that sort of style a bit mixed with my own!
