Wouldn't the gold bullet also not be as affected by air resistance. The resistance would be more or less the same for both bullets whereas the gold bullet has a lot more momentum resulting in less of a slowdown. Perhaps you wanna make some bullets out of lighter materials?

Not sure if it would be interesting to you or not but ive always wondered what would happen if you made an aluminum bullet and compromised it with gallium and shot it. Would it just break apart in barrel or make it down range? If it made it down range what kind of impact would it have compromised and not.

I agree, lighter bullets from Al, Brass, Cu, Zi, etc would all be castable. Or maybe Tim that makes all the weird bullets for Taufladermaus could collaborate with Cody.

It might be slightly more consistent than the muzzle loader since the pellet skirt is pushed into the rifling by the bolt. Rather than having to fire form the skirt like the minie ball, the pellet skirt is just needs to seal/grip the walls of the barrel.
