yes, in fact I think that is why I didn't get anything on the first run until I upped the heat and got some sodium to distill across and make the potassium liquid.

Okay the best results I have had are a making a pot ash from burnt wood and using electrolysis to collect the potassium on the anode. You may not be able to produce a lot with out the a large power source or a lot of surface area on the nodes
