I really enjoyed this short form science. I really wanted to know why you had the rush of white clouds rush down when the electric is applied

Very interesting.

Super clean intro to the topic. I Don't wanna think about how many takes it took to get it that good tho. Best Shab

Cool video, I like it. The noise, of I suspect the fume hood, was annoying though.

Very interesting. I love everything you do. I watch your movies every day, thank you for enriching my life. You seem to be a really nice man, with many different skills. Regards Morgan / Sweden

Neat! Would magnesium ribbon burn with a clearer more intense flame?

Do you think that a more (all be it small) change in the carbon to hydrogen ratio would help by going to burning a gas? Such as propane or even methane? Thinking of your reverse fire video, I'm sure you could pull it off easily. Thanks man, love your work.

Try pure magisium in the chlorine atmosphere! it does not burn white like it would in an oxygen one.

Neat I wonder what bromine vap could look like could it ignite the candle?

I had an audio sync issue around the second candle in chlorine test - audio way ahead of the vision

CodysLab

Yeah, sorry that’s a YouTube problem that I can’t fix. It should go away in a couple hours.

PS - glad you are looking happier and healthier tiger.

Cool Video. Too bad you weren't able to get a sustained light of the candle, but it was still interesting (like all your video's). One thing, it looked like the candle in the 2nd attempt lit okay and would have stayed lit, if power to the ignition wire would have been cut off sooner. But of course you had a better view, it might have looked different to you. Thanks again for the awesome and interesting video. Keep it up! Darren in Nevada

I wonder if you could make the equivalent of a candle and a chlorine world. Because the candle I was using the wax through the wick in order to burn but maybe you need a different Group of elements. You could make whatever you need to do to shift the wax to the chlorine world what would wax look like on a chlorine world?

Gary Benninger

You had me googling all sorts of stuff. I don’t have enough chemistry knowledge to ask the right question. Could a material exist which is in organic that has a similar properties that wax has? And when it reacts with Chlorine forms of gas with heat. I was thinking tin which is the same electron count as carbon. It has a similar melting point as wax does. But the difference is it forms a liquid when it combines with chlorine. Stannic Chloride. I don’t know if it’s worth trying though because it looks like it’s nasty stuff. Fuming liquid that is acidic.
