So the tin has fully converted! woot! here is all the timelapse footage I took. I'm thinking of speeding up the first part more since the quality isn't great and focusing more on the HD photos towards the end. what do you think?

The low-res on the time-lapse is a bummer. But it does look like you got a text-book reaction in both cases! Very very cool...I've got 3 pounds of pure tin that I bought on impulse a couple years back. You are making me very tempted to play around with it. What was the approximate duration of those sequences?

So the tin needs to be very pure, colder the better, and a bit of grey tin to start it helps a lot. It took my first sample 5years to convert and this sample about 3 days.

You don't have to speed up the time lapse just use 30 seconds of the above video starting at :20 and that should be enough to illustrate the reaction. Definitely keep the stills they look neat.
