Have you thought about in later clips introducing NCR salvaged power armor, heavy weapons, mortars -- and also maybe NCR Rangers or Desert Rangers. I forget if desert rangers were around at this point, but they do have a lot of resources they've pulled up from the Republic. Interesting idea is the Brotherhood will have superiority in the quality of their equipment, it's better maintained and they've the benefit of training their whole lives using power armor / weapon systems. Where a lot of NCR troopers are only intending to do a few tours of Vegas before retiring, they aren't career soldiers.

Also I guess some comparisons between the Brotherhood is while they're completely dedicated, they aren't experienced with the wildlands and the uncertainty of living in the wasteland. The NCR maneuvers I think with more confidence and they're better able to take advantage of the violence of action. Brass at the top of the NCR also have a general strategic appreciation for what's happening that the Elders would never have.

Mortars won't come out, but rocket launchers will. The ncr rangers will appear as a last resort and their appearance will reverse the unbalanced combat situation
