Concept Art #33: Generations of Rose (Patreon)

It's time for a new Concept Art posting! And today, we're showing you a special look at how the appearance of the sword-wielding scientist, Rose, has changed over the history of the Time Tenshi series!

On the left we can see her appearance in the original Time Tenshi - this is where her signature knightly style originated! The sketch has quite a few differences from the final sprite: for instance, she's wearing just a little more armour on her torso, and she also seems to have some frilly stockings under her leg armour.

Then, next along we have her updated appearance for Time Tenshi 2! This Time Suit is quite true to her original look, with a very similar configuration of armour plating as well as her trademark headband in place. However, she did also gain some fancy golden detailing on her chest armour and gauntlets, and her gloves are completely different!

Then, finally we come to her modern appearance in Time Tenshi Paradox! It looks like Kyo made a few revisions to her Time Suit - now her hip armour has some trailing tassels and her armour below the bust is replaced with a design like a castle gate. Her gauntlets have been removed entirely, and if you're really sharp-eyed you might notice she's no longer wearing her necklet!
