Join Annually for One Month Free! More Patron Tier Updates! (Patreon)

It's time for round two of announcements-- Discounts for patrons who join annually, and updates to the Patreon tiers!

One Month Free for Joining Annually!

Now that the game is released and rewards are no longer tied to a particular date, I've enabled the option for annual pledges! There's no pressure to do so, but if you choose to support us on an annual basis, it cuts down on transaction fees and reduces the chance of credit card declines in the future. It's also a great way to support the project, and in thanks we're offering an 8% discount (~1 month free)!

If that's something you're interested in, existing members can follow these steps to switch your membership over to manual:

1. Log in, hover over your profile icon in the top right corner, and select Manage  memberships
2. From your Active Memberships page, click Edit next to the membership you want to change
3. Select the Annual option (if available) on the checkout page
4. Click the Update button. You’ll be charged upfront for the discounted price

New members can visit my Patreon front page, where you’ll have an annual option below your chosen tier’s “Join” button.

Patreon Tier Updates

In addition to annual pledges, we've made some other tweaks to the Patreon tiers and rewards now that we are post-launch! Here's a summary of the changes (the full wording is on the main page!):

Early Access Builds - Since the game just came out, we don't currently have an Early Access Build on offer! Once Rowan's first chapter is complete this year, an Early Access Build will become available. Stay tuned!

Digital Art Book & Soundtrack - The digital downloads of The Art of Changeling Tale and Changeling Tale OST are now permanent rewards via Itch.io for $10 Sponsor tier Patrons and above!

Ask the Cast - New reward for Patrons at the $10 Sponsor tier or higher! Read more here! 

Game Key - The game key reward for Beta Tester tier Patrons is being extended! $25 tier Patrons who want a Steam or Itch.io key can request one here. Due to a limited supply of keys, we are able to offer one key per Beta Tester tier Patron. As we are fulfilling them manually, please allow several days for delivery!

These changes to the tiers are effective now! In the future we plan to offer more to our highest tier Patrons, the incredibly generous Fae Nobility-- but we need a little more time to work out the details. We'll make an announcement about that when we are ready! 

Also, as a very early heads up, we're planning on retiring the $3 tier and replacing it with a $5 tier when the next Early Access Build becomes available-- which is still several months away! Patrons who are currently on the $3 tier and wish to remain there will be able to do so. We'll have more on this later, but just wanted to let everyone know that it is (eventually) coming! 

Game Development News

The next patch is almost ready, which will fix the "Slurp" achievement issue, improve the Easter Egg back end, and fix a number of bugs and typos that people have spotted! I'm wrapping up the remaining art assets that I didn't have time to shade before launch, after which the patch will go live. Should be ready soon!

Once this patch is released, we'll make one final pass of polish and features that we've been excited to add to the game for a long time! And then it will be time to start coding in the Patron-decided romance, Rowan (whose chapter 1 is already mostly written)!
