What would you like to see our protagonist Transform Into in one of the story lines?

Comment with your ideas below! We will select a few species not already in Changeling Tale to vote on in a poll next week. Patrons at the $10 tier & higher can then vote to determine the winner!

(Keep in mind that this game is set in Scotland, so if you suggest an exotic animal or a creature outside of Celtic mythology, you may want to add a line or two about how you think it would fit 😉)

Austin Judes

How about some bird of prey like a falcon or hawk?

J Green

A wascally wabbit...

Paula Braydi

Hmm, I was thinking unicorn, because national animal and it would feel exotic and out of the blue.

Silver Tongue

Something tg like a cow or mare

Anonymous

A fox.

DanRam

I was thinking of a male sea serpent. Yeah it's really obvious...any other species like an bird that can do, since it takes time to think what he can turned into, it's really interesting.

James Parsons

This is more for the Fae World Story Arc, but I'd like to see his changes be influenced by the romance choices. For example: if he is romancing Rhoswen then he'd start to turn into a cat of some kind. Not necessarily the same kind as Rhoswen, domestic(small) or wild(large). This I feel gives use more to play with and makes it easier for the heart warming baby ends I'd like to see. If that doesn't work then I'd like to see Malcolm change into a mythical creature. It would make him unique. Perhaps a dragon or a griffin.

I know Dragon would make Wat happy, but personally I wouldn't mind a Succubus/Fairy/Bird type TF - Dragon is also cool.

Threyon

UUUUUUNICORN! https://www.dropbox.com/s/dn94t6xc4jjyjrm/UUUUNICORN.jpg?dl=0

I think Griffin would be quite a good choice, it fits with the theme as well!

BlakLite

I'd really like to see him become a female anthro fox.

Drew Gumz

I would say female centaur or female dragon anthro or normal or possibly a female fairy

Guardianslade

I would love to see something cuddly and cute, like a skunk, mouse or bear! *could apply to any other ladies too ^^* I think skunks and mice are pretty much everywhere there is meadow-ish things, and Scotland and bears were even a movie so they must be around there.

Zod

Owl, cause they're my favorite bird, and as far as I know you don't have any birds yet , so that would up the diversity, also arianrhod is a pretty cool goddess who turns into a an owl, even if she's actually welsh (Wales is pretty nearby, right?)

Zod

...dragon also acceptable :A

2nd female centaur

Anonymous

Scottish Terrier

FridgeLogician

Because I like being a wildcard, I say Pictish beast if for no other reason than to get something kinda chimeric out of the deal. If that's not on the table, hey. Dragons are a nice staple.

Wat

the scottish red panda :V

Wat

also, I would like to see the elusive scottish wallaby included

Mr Nibz

Pine Martin! Because if he's dating all these girls at once, he's definitely a weasel ;)

Zod

the fact that those are real is amazing.

Anonymous

Scottish Wildcat or a Cù Sìth

Anonymous

Wait female centaur? my interest has been piqued. My vote goes for the female centaur.

Threyon

A Ram. Because you can't have Scotland without sheep.

Reaper

Ferret, or seconding scottish pole cat/ pine martin Or if in doubt add more vixen! :D

Wat

Happy Wats "where's durgons?" :B

LittleNapoleon

Cuddly and cute always has my vote! I think bears in Britain went extinct in the medieval period, but this could be a good way to bring them back :3

LittleNapoleon

That'd be a fun challenge - not sure how we'd draw a Pictish beast, but it would be cool!

LittleNapoleon

I'm surprised there haven't been more feline suggestions! Yeah, this'd be a great fit.

Drew Gumz

yeah a tiny pixie fairy is what I had in mind if that would work

FridgeLogician

Just on the wikipedia article, they range from everything from dragon to dog to seahorse. What we do know is that apparently, the symbol was /really/ important to the people of southern Scotland or northern England, since it pops up about on every stone tablet that gets found or dug up.

Cischiral

Well, since Squato isn't here: vixen! Seriously though I am happy with any of the suggestions above.

Zod

You;ll need to set a few scenes in Hong Kong so you can get it released in the Chinese market

Sheeron

Dragon!

ComicTF

I mean I guess it depends on which story it takes place in but I'm gonna guess some kind of bird might be an untapped market. Maybe a Capercaillie because the size difference between partners is so extreme. Might be fun to play with.

Roidh

I'm going to suggest a White Stag as it feel setting appropriate (plus everything else I was thinking of was suggested already).

Ngrasta

Native (Brittish Isle) wolf. Extinct as of ~1888 On Ederachillis’ shore The grey wolf lies in wait- Woe to the broken door, Woe to the loosened gate, And the groping wretch whom sleety fogs On the trackless moor belate. The lean and hungry wolf, With his fangs so sharp and white, His starveling body pinched By the frost of a northern night, And his pitiless eyes that scare the dark With their green and threatening light. He climeth the guarding dyke, He leapeth the hurdle bars, He steals the sheep from the pen, And the fish from the boat-house spars, And he digs the dead from out of the sod, And gnaws them under the stars. Thus every grave we dug The hungry wolf uptore, And every morn the sod Was strewn with bones and gore: Our mother-earth had denied us rest On Ederchaillis’ shore — The Book of Highland Minstrelsy, 1846

James Parsons

I just had an idea. Why not an amphibian! Some Scottish frog or toad that a lovely lady could kiss to get a princes! :D

Paul Revere

I vote for Horse or Deer both seem to fit :)
