Who here has found the easter egg minigame in Marion's story line?

Don't worry! If you haven't found it yet, I won't spoil it for you. But come next build, Marion's won't be the only hidden minigame in Changeling Tale...

ɴᴏᴛᴇ: sᴏᴍᴇ ᴏғ ᴛʜᴇ ɢʀᴀᴘʜɪᴄs ᴀʀᴇɴ'ᴛ ғɪɴᴀʟ

A while ago we asked you guys what you thought would be some fun dates to go on with your new aquatic girlfriend. One of the most suggested ideas was "fishing," so we decided to include it-- and even make optionally interactive!

As with all minigames in Changeling Tale, it will be a completely optional easter egg. We'd like to include one minigame per romance, and think it would be fun if winning them unlocked some sort of bonus content. Character-related sketches & concept art? A secret developer's ending? Something else? What do you guys think?

Im all for minigames. Although i think the one in marions was a little rough. I also couldnt get it to trigger on android. It would be nice to unlock something neat by beating it though. UFO ending for marion maybe? As for those looking for how to get easter eggs. Check the discord. A list is on a pinned comment on the spoiler story page on the changeling tale discord.

Yeah, same with Marion's minigame! Like maybe winning it earns a secret bonus ending to her CH. 2, where the two actually *ahem* DO IT and push Marion into her completed transformation?

I like the theme of each mini-game being related to each romantic interest's transformation. As for unlockables, sketches and concept art would be great. Maybe a secret feature like changing the character outfits would also work. A secret developer's ending fells like it should take a little more work to unlock. Like finding all easter eggs and viewing all endings for each character. Anyways.... Looking forward to the new chapter.

Honestly I just hope Marion gets bigger and taller in her final chapter. Honestly I really hope we get like some side stories had the girls develop or grew longer in their transformation. Maybe its just me but I swear I though Jessie grow taller when she turned into wolf at certain points. But if not im really glad how the stories are playing out.

I just hope these girls understand what Malcolm had to go thru to get back and be with them. I feel that Jessie didn't get that despite how willing Malcolm was for her.

I think v1.4.0 is the demo version? It doesn't have anything past Chapter 1.

Unlocking an art pack or maybe a character bible could be fun. If you wanted to do a short meme ending like the dog ending in Silent Hill 2 that could be funny, but I'd hate it if it took away too much time from the project.

We just heard a great idea for a twist ending that would be a perfect fit for something like the UFO ending, haha! We'll make Grace's minigame easier than Marion's, we promise :P

Well, something like that might involve a lot of rewriting; we'd be looking for something simple, so we can keep focusing on getting the game done without making its scope any bigger.

We update the build on Itch whenever a new general release is made. Right now the new chapter is in beta testing, so the next general release should be sometime next month. If you play the game through the Itch.io app (https://itch.io/app), it should download the updates automatically; otherwise, you will need to download the new content manually. We'll send an announcement out to let everyone when the new chapter is ready!

In the demo, you can get onto Grace's track by 1) getting Hazel treats, 2) luring Hazel back with treats, 3) riding with Grace, 4) going to the loch during the free day, and 5) not opening up to Marion at the picnic after church. That said, we haven't included Grace's Chapter 2 in the demo yet, but it's something we'll add very soon, once we've released her Chapter 3 to patrons.

We definitely don't want to add anything too large in scope; a simple silly ending or character-related content would be ideal, agreed.

Most of those should unlock just by playing through the course of the game normally! Since we didn't introduce the triggers until the last build, you may have to buzz through the game from the beginning again to get them to unlock. You can use the "ctrl" button to speed through text very quickly!

No need to click anywhere to unlock the background glossary entries! They should just unlock automatically as you play through the game ^^ (If they're not, let me know and I can help you troubleshoot!)

Huh, why so they do, thanks. I've played through every path I think, and I'm just missing a few now. The master bedroom and church are showing that I have them both, but I only can click on one, and I'm still missing one from the town square.
