Regarding Patreon's Fee Structure Change (Patreon)

By now hopefully all of you have received and read the notice from Patreon that, starting Dec. 18, credit card processing fees will now be charged to patrons instead of the creator, and at a flat rate.  If you are supporting other creators, you may have heard that a lot of us do not agree with this restructuring.

I won't make you guys sit through another creator complaining about the change, but I just want to state for the record that I am also against it.  If you want to know why, Watsup did a great job summing up the reasons - you can read them here.

While the restructuring is out of our direct control, if you are also concerned about these measures, please do what you can to make your voice heard.  There has been a very vocal response and a lot of backlash since the announcement.  If it keeps up, with luck, maybe Patreon will back down before the changes go into effect.
