Fae Villager Progress Update (Patreon)

Hello Fae Villager tier!

We hope by now you've all had the chance to play one or more iterations of the demo and enjoyed it!  As always, feedback is welcome.

As you know, the main team has been focusing on getting the writing, assets and coding done for the Human World story arcs (the three MacLeod girls), and hopefully the demo shows just how far we've come.  In parallel, our second writer has been working diligently on the Fae World story arcs.  While the author has poured their heart into it and written quite a bit (over 60 pages!), unfortunately the tone and pacing of their writing has been less of a match than we'd hoped.   What does this mean?  Well, it's not unusable, but despite our continued attempts to improve alignment, it is looking like we will have to put in much more time editing and co-creating than originally intended.

To prevent falling behind, our primary author, Little Librarian, has offered to take a semester's hiatus from school this fall to step in and help.  We're really thankful for her doing so, because it also 1) means the entire game will have a consistent voice, and 2) will allow for greater collaboration with you, since LL is available for live discussion on Discord.

With the demo released, our next development steps are to revamp the GUI, add key game elements like chapter navigation and the SFW toggle, and then pick up where the demo left off and complete the MacLeod arcs.  This means the main team will continue to be focused on the core game for some time before we are able to jump into the Fae side of things with gusto.  In the meantime, we do hope to have some initial sprite assets for the Fae Villagers done soon for your review!
