While I haven't done a poll, I'm going to assume most guys anywhere near my size must use CPAP machines to sleep at night due to sleep apnea. Recently my 3-year-old BiPAP machine malfunctioned and due to various reasons out of my control including an ongoing massive product recall that started almost a year after I got my machine, I wasn't able to get it repaired. So I had to go through the hoops required by my current insurance company to get a replacement. That took about six or seven weeks, during which I've been operating on reduced quality sleep (and incidentally is why there's been less lifestyle posts recently).

It's interesting how much more effort it requires to do things when you are this size that a lot of regular-sized people probably never really consider - you have to make choices and plan at least a day ahead for lots of basic things, like taking a shower, or running an errand, or anything really that requires walking or standing for any period of time. When you couple that with only getting around 5 hours of sleep a night (and who knows how much of that was actual quality REM sleep) it amplifies the difficulty. I'm just so big!

I'm happy to say that as of a few days ago, I have received a new machine from a different manufacturer and while I have been still getting used to it the past few nights, I can already tell I am less zombie-like during the day. Just in time for the upcoming holiday festivities πŸŽ…πŸŽ„πŸŽ

In this video, I use some of my restored energy to bring in several Amazon packages from recent orders from my front porch, and then vacuum the carpet, panting a lot from the effort!
