Keelai artwork sneak peek and some tests (Patreon)

Yes, I'm still working on Andromeda! In fact I've been working a lot on it lately, even if it remains invisible to you (I will reveal more soon!). I've been toying more and more with AI, harnessing its potential. I have done a LOT of experiments over the past two month and it opened a lot of potential possibilities in my mind. I have been training a model with my own images and it works very well, and I also found some techniques to speed up my workflow regarding the comics. I can't show you all my tests right now because it is not over but I'm almost there. And I have found the perfect candidate to enter the final testing phase: I'm remaking the mythology story (because I feel it is needed before chapter 11 for readers to understand a few things).

First, I want to make a finished visual for each goddesses. I have pretty much sketched and designed them all, Keelai being the first I finished and here is the result. Some of you might remember having seen the little (horrible) portraits of them with their symbol and emblems I've done a couple years ago. I'm remaking all that in a better quality. So, this artwork of Keelai is a kind of hybrid artwork between me and my AI model; you can tell the character is draw and painted by me, and then I reprocesses some parts in the AI like the nipples and jewelry for the subtle but how important details that are annoying to do🤭; and of course the background is AI generated. This is a process I've been using also for the few past artworks, however most of the time the background is AI reprocessed from a sketch I made when I want something specific (because AI gives something too random that is never what I really want). The AI is also very powerful and useful to generate assets with depth and normal map that I plan to use for another 3D Andromeda project, like the renderings of the emblems, glyph, and marble statue images that follows. I'm curious to know what you guys think about this.

Second, the panels of the mythology story will be redrawn and colorized with that other process I'm experimenting. If that works out, there's a high chance Andromeda will be in colors in the future. I'm so excited with this! I can't wait to show you more. For now I have to make the Barbie animation but then I'm right back on it!

When it's complete, all this mythology new content will be integrated in the codex and the comics page.
