Dear Pink & Fluffi Patrons...

Firstly, either Tomorrow (Wednesday) or Thursday, I will be posting a New Fluffi Fashionista!

As for the rest of this post, I'm not really sure what this post is...!?!

I've spent so many days writing and re-writing unposted-posts like this one, so I'm just going to try to stay on point and be as forthright as I can be...

For the past 2-3 months I've been in somewhat of a daze, aimless, lost & either stressed, tired or ill... And You my Patrons have been the ones who've had to suffer through my lack of postings or even just me being 'present'.

I'm sorry, I've been failing this community, My Community.

It's been almost 2 years since I started drawing these Fluffi Fashionista's and I thought by now I would have an idea of the path I would be making for these illustrations and my Patreon.

Goals of Drawing illustrations of adult stars in the BDSM & Fetish communities. Hoping to sell picture sets which Dominants would proudly display in their Dungeons...

But almost 2 years on and none of this has happened and I'm feeling as clueless as I was on Day 1.

I know I'm the only one to blame for these failures, I know I need to do better & in all sincerity I want to do better...

I guess I'm making this post to acknowledge I realise some pictures and video's aren't a replacement for community... I need to make my Patreon a place of Joy and a place where all of you can express Your Pink & Fluffi Sides.

I'm sorry to have rambled... These thoughts have been on my mind for so long and I really needed some place to be as forthcoming as possible to Both Myself as well as to You my Patrons, because I may need you to give me a little push from time to time, to remind me I need to do better. :)

Thank you for Reading...

Sincerely...

KaT

I've been liking the content, so no complaints from me! Also it sounds like you had a lot to deal with, from family being sick to flooding. As for your goals, I am absolutely not qualified to give advice, but if you made art of stars you liked and got their attention on social media you might get some more eyes on your work!

One can hardly deny the amount of work you put into each pieces. The amount of details is always amazing. Perhaps its not about "being better" ? I always enjoyed your sissy art since the days of the Amsterdamned 3 but have you maybe considered trying to draw other kinks ? Or perhaps dominant characters ? That could perhaps help you reach more people ?

katscandy

Regarding the content, that's very kind of you to say Ava... Admittedly I don't work myself into the ground as much as I used to, still I feel like I could and should be doing more with the images as well as doing more to engage with all of you, to make my Patreon a place which fun and provides all of you with some sort of input or even a level of surprise every so often.

katscandy

Thank you Damien for your thoughts. :) Were there any Kinks in particular you might be thinking of? With the Dominant Characters, I always worried my Patrons might find Dominant Fluffi Fashionista's too similar or too visually predictable, although I guess its my job to make such looks much less predictable and different. ^_^

Honestly...as much as I am a fan of your ultra-detailled sissy art, what I would be most curious to see you do more simpler characters, especially mature ladies in elegant outfits. Branded clothes, winged sunglasses, the kind one could imagine driving a Bentley to pick her sissy poodle from the groomer

You're not failing Patreon, plenty of people still very supportive of your work, including the pace you deliver the content you provide. I would like to know more about what your expectations are, including this desire to have your artwork showcased in someone's dungeon. I'm not sure those are realistic expectations as your artwork fills a certain niche, and isn't as common in BDSM community. The latter has grown to cover a wide range of themes. Perhaps you might need to expand your themes, and be open to doing things you would otherwise consider too similar and predictable. Your art style is more unique than you want to give yourself credit for. If you drew a plain Jane in t-shirt and jeans sitting at a table it would still would look unique because your art style is your selling point. As much as you come up with interesting fashion elements which also makes your work special, still you must not be afraid of being too similar and too predictable. Shoes are shoes, the difference is the label. I believe the K@T brand artstyle can sell anything. Let's see you do some non-sissy themes, but put your own artstyle into it. Which admittedly I would describe your art as frilly, sissified, and dainty. I suspect if you drew a ordinary plain Jane predictable and familiar, it would still show a hint of Sissification to it. So my advice, just draw whatever you want without worrying about being too familiar or predictable. Some people like that because it's comforting and something they can share.

I do like drawing (or attempting to draw) those more elegant outfits, I will see what I can do Damien, adding 'Dominant' outfits to the Fluffi Fashionista's would certainly mean taking a moment to re-evalute my approach to such a look, could be fun. :)

My Apologies if I’m glossing over your reply STL, its almost 2am and I’m not fully ‘with-it’ at this point... But, Thank you for your description of my art, ‘Frilly Sissified & Dainty’. :D My falling Patreon numbers would perhaps disagree with the ‘not failing’ part. ^_^; Regrettably I haven’t been engaging with my Patreon Community anywhere near as much as I used to. I used to spend every free moment even when working on those month-long images trying to come up with quirky pieces of alternate content, W.I.P, Quizzies, polls, the discord posts and contests when possible... And over the past two years I haven’t. Instead I had hoped that my Fluffi Fashionista’s would be enough, because I thought I could work faster & post more illustrations if I just focused on drawing the Fluffi Fashionista’s. Regarding my expectations, at this point I have none... Which is part of the problem... 2 Years on and I’m still trying to figure out what (if anything) I’m working towards?!

Please, don't hit me for being honest too, but i'm missing the continuing comics, like Suckretary for example!:P

Wasn't aware of your subscriber numbers. But based on what you said about the change in your content, I'd say that is the reason. You went from doing various projects, almost scatterbrained to something more focused with fashionista pin-ups. It essentially created a smaller niche within a small fan base. I honestly don't think the pace of your content can be fixed. It's not like you can pump out quality artwork on a daily basis. I think what you probably need to focus on getting back to delivering a diversity of content. I think polls might help you figure out what kind of content people want to see. I personally enjoy fashionista pin-ups, but I also miss the days when you full page comics and explicit pin-ups. As for your lack of expectations, I don't know what to say, except that I feel your frustrations. But I hope there's something attainable for you to want to strive for. Success comes in many forms, it up to you as to how you want to see it. Thank you for responding and know that I got your back in whatever you decide to do. 💯❤️

I like the content as well, although my preference would be story formats like Amsterdamned. A story makes wonders to convey emotions, as there's a concept of change associated to it that single images can't portrait as well. It also entices the consumer to spend some time reading it. In the age of fast pace data consumption where we're bombarded with thousands of images, however good an image can be, can still easily get lost in the jungle of the 15 second attention spans. Depressions are nasty, but just like the weather and the economy, things can't always go up all the time. Your images and ideas have helped me during mine. As for expectations, sorry to say, but saying you have none seems a little off. Why are you doing what you are doing? Is it for yourself, or is it for the community? Is it really you failing the community? Or is it the geopolitical society pushing the community to fail you?

I’d say maybe projects like the suckretary are a bit too consuming, but i actually miss the princesville comics, in a more compressed format, but i loved the story and the settings so far. I love the fluffi fashionistas too but i think that adding a bit of story with some text balloons always give to the fluffi fashionista a better vibe

ben4321

yep! a good text makes half of the fun on an good pic!:P context is VERY importent!:P

katscandy

Don't worry Ben, I definitely don't want to hit you, I completely understand that you and others do miss the comics... Although admittedly I still don't have any plans to return to the comic work, My mind just isn't really in the same place as it was 2+ years ago. I do sometimes think about things I would have liked to have done with the PrincessVille World, but I don't know if its something I could even write now.

katscandy

Thank you for your reply KittySarah. :) And I’m so flattered to know my images have helped you during those ‘downer periods’ in your own life. Thank you. ^_^; The rate modern content is created and consumed is quite insane and even when I add caption-text on to an image, I really don’t know how much of an effective answer that is to a rapidly changing online dynamic as well as an ever changing audience. My Apologies for my expectations and sounding a little off... I’m sorry if it was off-putting, it was definitely Not my intent to cause uncertainty regarding my working mindset... That said, the first question in-particular which you asked is the same ones I’ve been asking myself for the past several weeks, and I really don’t know if I have an answer.

ben4321

maybe you just need someone for the story part, i started working on an comic myself!;P he makes the 3d renders, and i do the text and story!:P

I don't know much and can't be of much help, but I think powerful impact can come without big explosions. And sometimes it's just about slowly grinding away at it, like the turtle vs the hare. Finding oneself and defining your own goals can be in constant motion, and is what people do during their whole lives I would think. I'm still working on who I am, but every little bit of knowledge and ideas can help refine and evolve that concept of self and self-goals. So, I guess what I'm saying is, if you're not doing this for the money, keep doing what you like doing, and the answers will come, at some point, perhaps. And if not, at least you'll have been having fun doing it.

katscandy

Thank you KittySarah, For what it’s worth you have helped, infact everyones replies have helped in one way or another, more than you probably all realise. :)
