Dear Prissy Flouncy Pink & Bouncy Patrons...

QUiCK EDITED UPDATE:: I would just like to clarify, there are some wonderful Goth Looks, make-up especially and while never quite ever being a 100% Goth myself... Throughout my late teens and early 20's, 90% of my wardrobe Items were of Goth Clothing & Accessories, so I really do Love the Goth looks. :) For this image, I just haven't come across that one image or item (YET) which has helped inspire me to create the *BRiGHT (but Dark), BUBBLY & BiMBO BOLD!* Image I would like for this Character to be. :D

The Goth Style-Theme is one which I've thought about for quite a while and one I've been excited to create... Yet despite looking through hundreds (possibly thousands) of reference images for Goth Clothes, Hair & Makeup, something I've come to realise is that Goth looks in general tend to be quite uninspired when it comes to visually captivating design features... Some of the Darker Lace Texture Undergarments are quite interesting, but not really the direction I would like to go with this image.

If this was a Sissy Image I would perhaps lean into the 'Japanese Gothic & Lolita' fashions, but its proving to be harder than I initially thought to create a Goth-look, which doesn't look like the character is either a Street Walker or a Dominatrix.

Above are some rough outfit designs, none of which stand out to me in their entirety, but there are few elements I like, wuch as the Feathered Shoulders. Although I already know a couple of those elements, wont quite work on the Finished Character pose.

I hope Everyone has a Lovely Weekend...

Simply love love love seeing the process miss K@t! Think i'm drawn to the center model most, and..... Harajuku goth FTW!! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧

Thank you for your comment Mike. I also like the top in 2, although I do wonder if its too Dominatrix-ey and not really 'Bimbo-y enough. ^^

I'm happy you're enjoying seeing these Pre-Final-Image-Concept-Idea-Sketches, Roro. :D

I figured you would have this exact problem as I mentioned in a previous post that I thought Bimbos and Goths are completely opposite spectrum of fashion. I do agree the Japanese Goths tend to evoke a level of cuteness to their supposedly dark fashion. The Lolita fashion is by far the easiest way to convey a Goth-Bimbo. Again I agree with you it's more suitable for a SiSSY. So you really are limited with your options. Looking at the above sketches, they could be more Bimbofied by adding severe body curves, such as enormous breast and fat ass. As for the outfit you can add more chains, zippers, and buckles. The latter evokes a sense of being kept in bondage. While I see there's plenty of spikes, however they give the impression of a Diva or Dominatrix. The spikes are basically telling us 'don't fuck with me'. I'm not suggesting you get rid of them, but rather tone it down and replace them with zippers, and buckles. Lastly the hairstyles are great, but lack the usual extremes that Goths are known for. Just add some height to them. Goths are notorious for tall hair, whether it's a mohawk or spiked hair. I love the styles you got, the bangs are great, just everything needs to taller.

i really like the sailor moon feal that the right one has but the middle one's outfit is really nice and the left one sleeves/ arm warmers of death are really neat each of these have some really nice elements that can mix together for a strong piece but the hair is going to have to be bombastic in both style and color to really sell the piece but i think you'll do it no problem. ; )

katscandy

Thank you for your comment STL... :) I don't think its so much the spectrum, more that I haven't yet been able to find a suitable silhouette for the character and her appearance... So far my concepts and roughs have been too grounded and I would like something a little less grounded and a little more over the top. :)

Sendahlove

Yeah, I agree with you. I hope you consider my suggestions regarding zippers, buckles and chains. I like hairstyles you have done, they just need to be radically inconvenient. Raising the height of the ponytail dramatically would definitely put it over the top. Same could be said for the girl with the mohawk.

Green Sea

oh, that wasn't intentional, it's so spot on that I almost don't believe you. ; )

katscandy

I'm sorry (and a little ashamed) to say, I've never seen Sailor Moon before... :-s I know the Leading Sailor Moon character has a white-sailor-styled-outfit and super long pig-tails, but that's genuinely the limit of my Sailor Moon knowledge. ^^ I think maybe the Silhouette appears similar, although if coloured the character and the details were fully highlighted, I think (and would hope) the sailor moon similarities would have ended with the silhouette. :)

Green Sea

ah really there is nothing to be ashamed about seeing as how old and long the show is, though out of curiosity have you been able to figure final concept of the outfit or hair cause there are bits from all three that i love also do you think it will have tattoos? ; )

katscandy

I haven't settled on a final silhouette yet for the character, I have a couple of clothing & possible hair idea's in mind, which I will be trying on the actual character pose, to see how well they work. :) Until I've drawn the clothes on the character it's probably too early for me to say if there 'will' or 'wont-be' any tattoo's, but it's rare for me to not include a tattoo of somesort, usually the only reason I wouldn't, is if the characters look would appear too cluttered. ^^

Xul

I think Sendthelove pretty much said everything I would have. Just adding, I wouldn't mind if you did you a dominatrix instead of a bimbo one day.

katscandy

I think I may have to draw a Dominatrix Character one day Xul, perhaps even add the category to the Style-Theme list at some point, as such a character really does take almost any style-theme in a different direction. :)
