Dear patrons!

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
For your generosity, for your encouragements, for giving us a purpose and a place in the VTTRPG community, thank you.
Now let's play some... let's...uh, roll some dice!

  • Some technical difficulties with the assets we said we would be releasing this month so we had to quickly come up with new ideas. 😄
We have been toying with the new Simulation nodes in Blender's Geometry nodes ever since they released it in their alpha builds.
As complicated as it can be sometimes, it does open up a lot of possibilities!
The new "Particle Shape Burst" assets are using these simulation nodes and we rather like it.
We received your feedback, it's true that we're missing some variations in terms of spell-cast initiations so we created a couple for this release.
We will continue adding more of them every now and then.
  • Many of you were favourable to the idea of an extra module for our freebies that we couldn't include in our main module.
So here is the first release of our "JB2A-Extras" module on Github, available to all! 😎
It should be approved soon on the FoundryVTT official list of modules. In the meantime, you can install it by copying this manifest link:
    https://github.com/Jules-Bens-Aa/jb2a-extras/releases/latest/download/module.json
We've added the modified assets from Forgotten-Adventures on top of the Pathfinder Runes (7 sins). Enjoy!
All these assets are registered in their own separate database called "jb2a-extras". You can preview them from the Sequencer Database Viewer in FoundryVTT.
Of course, if you notice something missing, a mistake on our part, any and all suggestions are welcome.
We'd happily review and merge any pull request made directly on Github.
  • In other news, @Eskiemoh (the God, the Legend... 😜) has released a fantastic new video on Youtube explaining the process of creating Sequencer macros.
Seeing other people using and combining our assets and the power of Wasp's Sequencer module to create flashy spell effects makes us happy!
You can join @Eskiemoh's Discord server to access most of these amazing macros. They even stream the macro-creation process on Twitch regularly.
We encourage you to go check it out and inspire them to keep it up. ❤️
Javascript may not be for everyone, but if you're willing to learn a little bit about it, the rewards in satisfaction are considerable.

- Contents of the release -

Particle Shape Burst

This project seems pretty flexible in terms of what shape we can add so if you have requests, feel free to message us and we'll give it a try.

Shield Bash, throw and return

This was requested a few times and has been in the back of our minds for a while now.
We're happy to finally indulge our shield-throwing fans out there!

Cast Shape

Another interesting approach to spell-casting initiation.
This one is unfortunately slightly harder to adapt to more complex shapes but it might be an oversight on our part. We'll keep digging.

Melee Attack - Magical Greatsword, Sickle and Battleaxe

A nice variation on the greatsword, which should please some of you as well as a new Sickle for your commoners or Druids and a cool-looking Battleaxe.

As always, you can check all the new assets by browsing through our Asset Viewer or read our Patchnotes.

I really like the particle burst examples...so many possibilities with these! I'm looking forward to see what else you come up with using this.

for those with v0.5.5, how do you update to v0.5.8?

JB2A

First, go to the master post: https://www.patreon.com/posts/56246490/ Then you have two choices. 1. Download the "Only New Stuff" zips for v0.5.5 to v0.5.6, v0.5.6 to v0.5.7, v0.5.7 to v0.5.8 and overwrite the files from each zip into your modules folder, in that order. OR 2. Copy the manifest link and paste it into FoundryVTT, same as the first time you installed our module. Bear in mind that using the manifest link will re-download our whole package (5GB+) and you need twice that in disk space. That's why we propose the "Only New Stuff" zips :D
