"Obann" is just a way for us to track our release ! Module version v0.4.5 for FoundryVTT

Dear patrons !


Thank you so much for the continued support, you are making our life better and we hope we can return the favor at least a little bit by adding some fun in your games. ❤️
There's a lot to unpack here for what we've been working on this month and whilst a lot of it is a 'work in progress', we're excited to show you what's to come.
A lot of progress was made towards the throwable potions (and grenades) and we need a bit more time to polish them. Here's a quick sneak-peek of the work in progress :

The rig for the tentacle is getting there as well, however animating these is going to take a while ! 😵
Here is a behind the scene of an exercise rig that we'll use for Weapon animations, and even things like Arcane/Mage Hand for example :

We also tried to make vines with Geometry Nodes but the UV and Texturing was an issue 😅. We're not giving up though ! We'll probably use a rig for that as well, once we figure it out entirely.

We can't promise anything in terms of when we'll finally manage to finish these as we don't know yet what obstacles may come our way.
Being proud of the animations we release is important to us and we don't want to rush it too much ! 🙂

Contents of the release

For this release, we made one version of the ranged 'swirling leaves' asset in Unreal which looks pretty cool, even though we had to do a bit of post-production in After Effects to add the 'glow' back in.
Here's the pink version but ther's also a green-orange, and an orange-pink version that you can check on the Asset Viewer (Library Preview)

And whilst experimenting in Blender with Metaballs and Geometry Nodes, we created a 'blob' that looked too funny not to make an asset out of it, so we made it a bit more 'sphere-like' and decided to call it "Liquid Blob".
Up to interpretation, it can be thought as a thin 'skin' of liquid, or a bubble of air underwater for the Breathing Bubble Item for example...

We also made some chains as markers that can be used for the restrained condition for example. A few variations, different looks and colours. Hope you like them !

If at all possible, we'll still try to make a second release tomorrow. It's most likely going to be an update on the Token Animator, if nothing else.
The latest version of Blender v3.2.0 was released earlier this month (8th of June) and the Token Animator is not compatible with it yet but is still compatible with the version 3.1 (links provided in the guide).
It is possible to have different versions of Blender installed on your machine at the same time though, so it's a temporary workaround.
We're not sure what happened, it sounds like a bug but we'll investigate more and keep you in the loop if we find out anything new.
