What's going on? (Patreon)

I've been mentioning that I've been wanting to change how my patreon is set up for a while-- anyone who's talked to me and asked about patreon plans or what I want to do would already know this.

I've been trying to come up with a story structure for Dick Dash. A very lewd series of animations that would be similar to the stuff that I've been making already... but! it being all patron exclusive stuff. The universe that I want to build for Dick Dash would have various cameo's of Meku or other treats here or there that my community on discord should be entertained with.

It started off as me wanting to make a lewd comic, doujinshi style but I don't truly understand comic book paneling but I do understand cinematography as a goal of mine is to open an animation studio and have a youtube series. I want to be able to support my writer friends and be able to make quality art together.

That goal will happen. But what is Dick Dash?

Well, it's a lewd set of animations. I want to make it an opt-in choice for my current top tier patrons to have their character shown in Dick Dash series. This won't have a story, I want to just make animations that are about 5 min length and have a little script to follow about ordering some services on an app and the following mini story happens. It should have multiple positions, it should have sound and VA, it should be a step up or on par with my commission work recently. This will not work if it's centered around one character though.

What about Meku?

Well. I have a story being written involving Meku and some close friends, it will be strictly SFW, should be only available on Patreon at first but then maybe I could make it as an Early Access series that gets posted to my YouTube as well.

I've not yet decided on the Title of the story yet. I am curious what you guys think I should name it. It will be a story following Meku on their journey to become a famous artist. It should be a Slice of life series, dramatic, relatable and wholesome fun.

OK but what about commissions?
I have a backlog, I am doing my honest best to not accept ANY more commissions at the time being, with the exception of when I have no food or water... I am working through all of them and will probably change my focus towards doing everything on the patreon and only accepting commissions when I need to.

I want the patreon to work and to improve and to give you all something that is exclusive and show you how much I appreciate and respect my patrons.

What about the patron rewards?
Things are going to change slightly in the next couple of months I hope. I want to make the first official Dick Dash animation post and the first Meku story post and get feedback from my community.

What I'd like to do is set up rewards for shoutout credits and general support for what I do. I do not like that currently it feels like an infinite workload. It's become a big source of stress and I want to provide a few episodes of Dick Dash to my longest patrons each month but I need to remove the whole "Everyone gets a render each month" thing. That mixed with my commissions too closely and turned into a sort of heavily discounted price for the same amount of work.

Are you posting less recently?
Somewhat yes, but mostly because I feel like if I post anything, I have quite a few people asking me for updates on their commission. I intend to post the commission list Trello link on Discord. However I want to finish all that I have to do right now before doing that.

Why are things taking so long?
I've been fighting off some very complex depression spouts and have been needlessly stressing over a community I built for Blender on discord for far too long. I created Blender's largest Facebook group and Discord server and have been actively moderating and trying to improve it over the last 10 years. I want to straighten out my priorities in life and work hard for this studio goal and fix everything I've been slacking on in the last few years. I've talked with my co-owner and decided to Retire from moderating that community for good. It does not provide ANY support towards the staff and just has been a large center of stress for me. Its an amazing place with amazing people but I needed to stop and get to work.

I don't usually make posts like these, explaining a lot of things going on, I try to stick to posting only what I think people are here for, tell me if this is a good thing or a bad thing to post as an announcement. I rely on your feedback ♥
