Game Update (Patreon)

Hey guys,

This is a crosspost from kickstarter, so if you backed the game, you may have already read it.

I'm doing a quick, last minute casting call for voice actors. If you do voice work or know someone who does, please reach out to me through my discord server. The game is massively overbudget, so contributions will have to be a labour of love, or we barter something involving art/commissions.

Here’s a sample of some audio fun. Luro needs a better voice, but this one displays some of his showmanship. I think he should be much queenier, more evil, and more fawning.

(Note: There’s a whole chunk of audio that doesn’t show up in the dialogue box. That’s because it’s from a newer draft of the story.)

For the reading buffs out there: I had written a story for a previous game that followed a similar plot structure. It came out to around 45k words. I figured Drake’s Dungeon would be a bit longer than that, but it evolved into a 130k+ word journey. I had absolutely no plans of reaching into novel length territory, it just happened. It's the biggest dive into Drake's world I've ever done. Also, probably half the word count is just descriptions of holes being poked. It’s very pulpy, pulp fiction.

My Patreon has been a bit quiet because I've been spending days on end trying to grind out the story for the overdue game. I can't believe how fast writing eats up time. I'm happy with what I wrote, I hope you guys enjoy it, too.
