Bulk of the Lava built (sans middle tiles) - Painting in progress! (Patreon)

Hi Guys!

Just a quick update to keep you going - I've managed to finish making and baking the bulk of the lava tiles, only the middle tiles left to go (as they require 3d printed bits...see below!)

What you can see in the pictures here are the modular banks and rocky areas that you can add to any tile to give visual interest and/or places to leap to depending on your level of lava realism (and proliferation of party fire resistance!)

3d printing wise, I've got a plan that may or may not work for the middle involving some clear resin, I'll keep you posted. The idea was to get some statues and such printed for the awesome photography shots in grey resin BEFORE switching out to the clear...

I printed out a large statue for 36 hours...and dropped it. And lost its horn. I was not happy.  😅

I then attempted to print it again...and forgot to fill the resin back up, so I woke up to a half statue. 🙄

In each attempt I got some other sick details printed to use in the display images, but the beastly statue will have to wait as I couldn't delay any longer and got the printer working away on the clear features...we shall see how those turn out....

I've put together a little 'test formation' with the new mountainblocks, the lava tiles and the printed bits - and it looks pretty amazing honestly! Gonna wait until I've got the full lightboxes finished before showing you guys the full concept though. Well, lightboxes and the damn statue that I'm definitely not sore about...😂

In other news, I seem to be continually getting better, albeit slowly - got 90% of a full day done today without brain fog or fatigue, and I'm taking that as a win!
