Hi Guys!

Just a quick one today, all the photography is now done (thumbnail included, which is a nice bonus), now I just need to tidy everything away and prep the room for talking head/VO at 5am (EEK...) to avoid the road noise. I'm trialing doing it stupidly early instead of stupidly late, see if that messes with my sleep pattern less 😂

I'm really happy with the big builds I got done for this video, they really show off the other systems capabilities as well as the new soul columns. And in the case of this vampiric undead relic excavation, gave me an idea for D&D...

Hope you guys are getting a nice insight into where all the work goes with these updates - editing next!

I agree with Isaac, seeing behind the curtain and experiencing some of the magic is so cool! You could take a photo of your workplace/studio + greenscreen + quieter place of your house/apartment = better sleep pattern Sleep is important and messes with the mental AND physical health so easy, might not be worth it. Is it really this loud in your area? O.O

Main road at the end of the back garden, Upper floor so no noise reduction from the (ancient, hole filled) fence, motorway around the corner that sometimes gets roadworks, and a nearby airport to top it off 😂 This mornings experiment was a disaster though - cars started being worse than on a night at only 5:30/6 ish, and planes started, which wasn't a problem on the night! Green screen would mean ripping the acoustic foam off my walls and putting it up in the bedroom, which is the only other room with the non-echo causing hard floors and space for lights/chair/camera.... Barely 😅 so it's unfortunately not feasible. Current plan - 7-8 pm ish the cars settle down to 1 - 3 a minute, so that gives me time to get a few lines in. It'll drag out recording but means I'm not wrecked and struggling to focus, or staying up stupidly late. Probably the best compromise, at least until I can get some soundproofing sorted when the channel is doing a little better :)

Matt, about the sound proofing: is it possible to just fold and hang up a couple of thick blankets or duvets towards the window/source of noise when recording? I know that a good solution for recording voice-over or singing at home is to record in a closet, but since you're doing video too that isn't an option. :)

Honestly its something I tried and it just didn't do enough unfortunately. I think the window itself has damaged seals (old ish house) which isn't helping. There's things I'm going to be trying, it's just they take time :)
