First post on the first day of the year 2024, for me anyway.

To get everyone up to speed - my old wacom tablet acted weird for months, unclear if it's the pen or tablet itself but it became very unusable days into December. Recently bought a new tablet set from Xencelabs as I told myself I would try one if my old one finally keel over - and the price couldn't be beat. I'm convinced now the wacom pen itself was the problem but won't buy a new pen for 2 reasons.

One: I've had my wacom since 2015. It's showing minor signs of wear and tear in itself and it's a discontinued model. Eventually it'll stop working altogether - so a new wacom pen is pointless there.

Two: If I DO buy a new compatible Wacom pen, I'll need to buy the newer model tablet set as well. And Wacom is crazy expensive - the pen alone is $80. So it won't be any time soon unless there's a good discount.

Home life hasn't improved much but at least with the new tablet, I can try to be more active than usual.

Wanna say thanks to everyone who has stuck by and/or show their support for me over the year. I probably dream far too big for my own good but there's so much I'm trying very hard to get out there and there are many things in the planning stages I just can't discuss at the moment but the relatively few character drafts I dropped here is hardly a taste for what's in store. If things officially get off the ground, that is.
