MerMay 2022 Bonus Theme: Comic (Patreon)

And with this, I finally completed my prompt list for MerMay Art Challenge!

Now for those who don’t know, comics/mangas take a lot of work and time to finish. So, I made these 7 pages of the last theme of the list, Comic, during my breaks in my office. The story tells where a fisherman got out of the boat by accident and was saved by someone (or something), and then he got stranded on a lonely island.

Just read the comic, it’s fun! And I had a lot of fun making it!

This MerMay comic was made on Medibang on my iPad.

This is the third comic I made, and also, the second long comic, using this app. At first, it was pretty hard to understand the interface and the buttons of Medibang since I used to work with Clip Studio Paint to make comics/manga. And it took me a long time to figure out how to make the halftones, the speed lines, and some other effects that you see in this comic. But overall, it was a fun experience to try out a different app for comics.

And with this, MerMay 2022 is officially over! Thank you so much for your support and your kind comments during the art challenge. But, sad to say, this will be the last time I do this. So next year, no MerMay 2023.

Well, maybe I’ll do just one simple art for MerMay. Just for the sake of doing art.
