Hey what’s up, bros.

Hey, do you smell that? Yeah, you do, That’s the smell of an upcoming art challenge in May! And I’m talking about the MerMay Art Challenge!

For those who don’t know what MerMay is, well, it is an art challenge where during the month of May, you create an art about mermaids every day. You can use whatever art tool you like, from traditional to digital.

Last year I participated in this art challenge for the first time, which was fun. But this year, I decided to take this art challenge in a different way. You see, instead of doing the whole prompt list from the official website, I’m going to make half of it, and choose some themes from the official prompt list, randomly.

The reason for doing it this way is based on my own experience after my first MerMay art challenge. Don’t get me wrong, this art challenge is fun, especially if you like mermaids or you’re a fan of Disney’s Little Mermaid animated movie. But, by the time I reached the mid of May, it was starting to get boring, and me thinking “man, I should be doing something else instead of drawing mermaids every day in May”. You see, for me, it gets tedious in the middle of the road.

So, instead of drawing and posting everyday, I decided to do half of the prompt list and post the arts in three days: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Plus, a very short comic about some mermaid.

And yeah, that’s what I’m going to do next month.
