Hello Patrons,

Last month we had 1120 Patrons, meaning that we've unlocked the Kneeling Leg Pose for this month!

As always, these will be available in the MMF download when it is released at the beginning of next month.

1100 Patrons - Kneeling Leg Poses

Always a welcome addition to any set, the Astral Kingdom kneeling legs will help add even more variety to your teams, and makes setting up ranked a spear wall look even more dynamic!

As you can see from the examples, these work wonderfully for adding height variation to your squads!

Multi-Shell Breakdown

In the images below, you can see that we've highlighted certain elements in bright orange, purple, and yellow (and you'll see similar images in many of our previous releases too!)

These colours mean that each highlighted element is actually a separate "shell" - a complete 3D object that it is possible to move, scale, interchange, or even remove entirely! Want to know how? We've got a few excellent text and video resources for you to check out;

Our Multi-Shell Beginner's Guide post

Sonic Sledgehammer's Video Tutorial using MeshMixer

And finally, an in-depth Blender Tutorial that covers advanced movement and manipulation of individual shells, as well as a whole lot more if you're interested!

Here are this month's Multi-shell elements:

All of this month's arms with energy staves have both the staff itself, and the upper hand as shells, meaning that all of these staves can be posed as being wielded one-handed, or have the staff removed entirely if you'd like to replace the haft with other staff-like weapons.

If, in future we create other polearm weapons, we'll be certain to take advantage of the same functionality, making them interchangeable between each other!

The Astral Kingdom headdresses mostly feature multi-shell "heads", allowing you to repose them. In fact, the support structure that supports the head of each one is a separate shell too -- that means you can turn the heads for each one, from side-to-side, and don't even need to redo any support work!

The Heads and Skullcaps all feature completely optional hair or cap, facial hair, and a strange disc on their foreheads. Should any of these elements be unwanted you can remove them before you print and won't need any resupport work either! Or you can mix-and-match any of these elements between our previous sets, which gives you an unthinkably large number of potential combinations!

The hands that wield our smaller weapons are also an optional feature, giving you the option to print the weapons themselves standalone, or swap in other objects to freed up hands! We've also provided the claw as a Digital-Kitbash file, which you can overlay on top of other month's open-wrist arms, should you wish to do so!

Some people have wished that we had made the heavy collars on this month's torsos separate shells. While this wasn't really possible on the torsos, because we like our Multi-shell options to maintain something usable should the shell be removed, what we can do is provide the collars as completely separate Digital Kitbash files!

Hopefully these small bonus items will suffice for all your kitbashing needs!

Thank you all for your continued support,

- Team Anvil

Nice! But weren't the Kneeling legs already part if the release? 🤔 I am sure the release breakdown picture already showed them? (Or maybe I am confused and these are new?)

Great stuff as always. Is the fully enclosed head compatible with the female torsos as well as the male ones? Female heads normally have this little bowl at the neck joint.

Would you have an update on when these will be on MMF? I joined late in the month and didn’t get a chance to download them before the link expired

hi guys. I've downloaded the file off MMF but can't see the separate collars in there?
