May's Heavy Drop Troops - Everything you Get (Patreon)

Hello Patrons!

We're absolutely thrilled to be able to show you what we've been working on for our return to Drop Troops - one of, if not the most popular miniature lines we've made on Patreon. But let's not waste time on flowery language now...

The Landing zone is hot. Strike team; you're dropping in 5...

Whether you're in need of an aerial assault squad with weapons to utterly destroy any target...

Or a front-line commander with the tools to shock and awe your enemies, Our Heavy Drop troops have you covered!

Let's dive deeper and get a look at all the separate bits!

These new drop troops come with three unique helmet options to suit your tastes. An angular visor, armoured spartan helmet, or the multi-ocular helmet - each bringing a completely different style to your troops! 

For those occasions where an enclosed helmet just won't do, you have the option of both male and female heads with bionic eyes, or a visorless helmet.

Heavily armoured chest units can be outfitted with personal power plants, energy weapon ports, and even a short-range flight rig for controlled descents! Once on the ground, a drop trooper can continue to use the rig to "jump" quickly between locations, or detach it and allow the onboard control unit to return the rig safely to the drop-ship.

All the firepower in the world won't do you any good unless you can get it where you need it, and our Drop troops have got that manoeuvrability in excess!

Note: Due to the extremely bulky armour designs we've conceived for this month, we've kept everything to using the male Regiment's joint system.

Outfitted with even more powerful exoskeletal augmentation and thicker armour, the heavy drop trooper is capable of shrugging off multiple direct hits from weapons that would down a lesser trooper. While the suit may look cumbersome and bulky at a glance, it belies the super human speed and agility with which it endows its user.

Heavily armoured arms feature the same mechanical enhancement, allowing the standard loadout to similarly amped up! Each trooper has the option of using a Specialist Energy Weapon (our Regiments weapon joint style), or forearm mounted gauss rifles!

There's also a full selection of open-wrist joints too, for any melee or pistol weapons you may want to arm them with.

As mentioned above, the standard loadout for a heavy drop trooper is likely to be their Phase Lance, a laser weapon that draws significant power from the user's power plant. Alternatively, there are miniaturised pistols as side arms, which are preferable in close-quarters engagements.

If mission parameters require solid projectile weaponry, then there are both a heavy pistol (more of a hand-cannon, really) and the previously mentioned twinned coil guns!

For the squad sergeant, you have yet more options; a brutal two-handed cleaver or a powered punch-fist!

And since there's some unhelmeted heads, we thought it best to provide some spare helmets too! There's one of each type, which you can use however you'd like

At time of writing, we've got our first Milestones Unlocked - Kneeling legs! We'll have some renders of those soon, and the Squad Support weapon is very close to being unlocked too! (at 1150) Don't forget to spread the word!
