Dear Patreons,

On the Digital Forge, we are all about kitbashing and conversions.

Our recent Cyberpunk Kitbash competition was poorly organised but well received! So let's have another go!

This month's download pack, and competition theme, is Mutant Horror!

We want you to use Blender or another 3D modelling/layout software of your choice to create an original miniature concept using parts from our Mutant Horror Month and at least one other theme from our Digital catalogue.

Many components in our monthly releases use standard joint systems and you can mix and match parts from across ranges.

You can also get really creative with rescaling and combining parts in new ways that our team hasn't thought of!

We want to run this competition a lot quicker than the last one, so the deadline to enter is Midnight October 24rd (Updated - extra 24 hours!) giving you five days to create your masterpiece!

THE COMPETITION

  • Make a converted/custom miniature using a combination of components from this month (Mutant Horror) and any previous month's packs.
  • Your submission can be as simple or complex as you like, we are looking for interesting combinations which show off what's possible with the range.
  • Our staff will shortlist 2-5 finalists and put it to a public vote!
  • The winner will receive a £50 Store Voucher to use on any of our products on www.anvilindustry.co.uk
  • The closing date for entries is 24rd October 2022, 23:59pm, London BST.

THE RULES (slightly different from last time)

  • Entry is open to current Patrons only (as you need to have this month's file set)
  • Your miniature must be sent via email as an STL or .Blend file, and must be made up of entirely components from Anvil Digital Forge.
  • Component parts from this month's Mutant Horror set should feature prominently in your kitbash. As a rough guide we would expect 50% of the model to be taken from the mutant horror set.
  •  You may then use any components from any prior Digital Forge download.
  • You are free to move, rotate and rescale components and make full use of multi-shell functionality.
  • Additionally, you may make use of ONE Boolean cut using a cube, if you wish. For example cutting a barrel off a gun, or a tentacle off an arm (This is to allow further creativity without overly disadvantaging less experienced digital modellers). You can find a very brief guide on how to do a Boolean cut at the end of the Light Mech Video HERE.
  • Send your STL or .Blend file by email to mutantcompetition@anvilindustry.co.uk to ensure it is received and counted. Include your Patreon username in the email.
  • The closing date for entries is 24rd October 2022, 23:59pm, London BST, entries after this will not be considered.
  • Only one entry per person.

Any questions? Fire away in the comments or on Discord, otherwise we look forward to seeing what you come up with!

Thanks and good luck!
