Hello Patrons,

Patron Sonic Sledgehammer has painted up "The Captain" from our June D-Day Release for his latest "How I Paint Things" video!

He has made use of the multi shell feature to remove some elements before printing, and his video contains a really simply guide showing how to do this in Mesh Mixer (free CAD software) in just a few clicks. The same process can be used for any of our Multishell parts or for removing support shells if needed.

We hope you are enjoying the months content! :)

Anvil Industry's "The Captain" 3D Print and Paint - How I Paint Things

He's a star-spangled man with a plan! From the Anvil Industry Digital Forge comes the D-Day inspired pack of 3D printable miniatures, and marvel at a couple of interesting 'guest stars.' READ MORE: Check out the complete contents of the Anvil Industry June 2021 Digital Forge pack: https://www.patreon.com/posts/everything-you-d-52053314 There's also an absolutely immense range of resin parts available for purchase at their web store, along with STL packs from previous months if you missed them on Patreon. Patrons also receive a discount code for previous STL packs, so if you have your eye on something neat from a few months back, it might still be worth signing up to their Patreon if you want to complete your collection on the cheap: https://anvilindustry.co.uk/?affiliate=sonicsledgehammer Inspired by US Marines during 1944, these assault vest and gas mask options are awesome additions to the range of 3D printable STL files for your home machine. Remember as well that in time, these releases will be available in resin - if you don't have a 3D printer, you won't miss out for long! The one difference will be in the case of their characters and other miniatures listed as 'multi shell,' meaning you're able to tweak and adjust their appearances before even printing them. Great if you want to perform a simple head swap, as I have here! This marks the first time I've used screen recording software to help demonstrate a couple of simple tricks using freely available programs to the home 3D modeler, so let me know whether or not that's useful or if it was interesting to see. Thanks to Producer level Patrons Alan Nuttall, Kyrie Crawford, Trainboy, and Fred, as well as all the other Patrons that made this video possible, and Exit23 Games for recording equipment that helps keep the channel ticking over! How I Paint Things will never be behind a pay wall, but anything dropped in the tip jar is greatly appreciated and really helps. https://ko-fi.com/docwholigan PAINTS USED: PRIMER: Leather Brown Spray Primer THE ARMY PAINTER: Tanned Flesh Venom Wyrm Ultramarine Blue Banshee Brown Crusted Sore Army Green Pure Red Spaceship Exterior Dirt Spatter Leather Brown Werewolf Fur Fur Brown Crypt Wraith Matt Black Strong Tone Quickshade Mixing Medium Monster Brown Scaly Green Necrotic Flesh Electric Blue Matt White Mars Red Barbarian Flesh Corpse Pale Gunmetal SPRAY VARNISHES: Vallejo Matt Spray Varnish
