If you re-read the first couple chapters, you probably can tell that we are pretty close to make a loop back toward the beginning.
There's one more hurdle before we reach that and it will be an important character's arc for North before his shuttle blew up in #3: Red Alert part 2.

There's also gonna be a less-combative conversations between the two MCs on the next chapter, but most of these 'getting to know each other' is plotted out for after the underwater kiss, I mean CPR lol... （⌒▽⌒）

Cos well, considering the situation and how hot headed their characters are, North isn't gonna be like “Oh hey there girl, let me get to know your personality so I can decide if I should or should not deliver you to this evil dude so I can save my mum”

The circumstances would have to force him to spend some time with her, to see things from her point of view.

From the moment they met, there has been an expectation from romance readers who just wanna see these two smashing into each other asap, but the buildup is needed for better impact on the romance imo  ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
