Development Diary #43 (Patreon)

Hi guys! 

The development of the update is going well, maybe  a bit slower than other updates in terms of "things we've finished" but we expected this as we need to draw and animate 1 or 2 girls more in each H-scene. So, in something more than a month and a half of development, this is the state of the update:

We're midway of the update in terms of H-scenes, but there's still work to do with the CG's. Because of this, we're considering the option of building this update with all the animation and the CG's  only for the furry girls, but not Alison and Harem ones. And this part would be done for the Bonus Update that will come after the v1.0.
The pros of this option: the update will take as always, and we'd be midway right now in CG's and Animation. Cons: you'll have to wait for the extra for getting MC and Alison's Endings. Plus, this Bonus Update was supposed to be shorter, just polish and a few H-scenes (3-4), but if we add these CG's it would take as other normal update.
We believe that making all Alison and Harem CG's could take approx an extra month, so basically the decision is:
Larger v1.0 version and shorter Bonus Update vs. Normal v1.0 and Normal Bonus Update

The final decision is ours, we'll see when we have all more advanced what we'll do, but if you have preference for one option, we'll be glad to hear :)

Hm No preferences. I still trust you, and I believe that you should do as you like ))

I like the idea of a bigger 1.0 update. I think 1.0 should be the final version of what you envisioned and it's cool with a smaller bonus update for little extras and big fixes, etc. Maybe sneak a couple more funny little Easter eggs in. No extra lewd scenes but just some funny conversations or something :P

As it has been for the last few years, we'll see what we see when we see it. lol More important, at least to me, is that you two take care of yourselves. Like Kontra, I trust that you'll do what's best for you and for Space Paws. If I expressed an opinion on how to proceed, I'd wait for the Alison/MC endings. So, Normal and Normal. Expressed with gratitude for all your work and dedication.

I'm slightly disappointed that there doesn't seem to be an Alison/Rosalyn/Nebet scene. That aside, I noticed that listed are things like "Alison Dog", does that mean that a suggestion I made a while back has gained traction within your development circle?

"Alison Dog" is referring to the development of the art and story of the epilogue of Alison's Ending on the Dog planet. Cat, Fox and Lacertans, refers to those respective endings with Alison as well. So, I'm not sure what it is that you're referring to, you'd have to be more clear, but that's what they mean.

I made a suggestion some time ago to "show what happens to Alison if you take another girl", I made this suggestion before the harem endings were public knowledge to your fanbase. But thanks for clarifying what that means.

I've become quite fond of the development cycle and typical timeframes that you have set up, since they seem like a fair amount of time for an update. I think you should spread your work out evenly to avoid getting burnt out. You're free to adjust timeframes depending on what you feel is right, there's no real wrong answer here, so I support any decision you come to.

Take your time! A few extra months to finish off 1.0 completely seems good to me, but I think everyone will be happy with whatever you choose :)

Your suggestion may or may not be the case in the epilogues, it seems like. To be clear, I'm not a developer, just another fan.

4 out of 7 Harem H-scene are Comissions, so if one of them there's Ali, Roselyn and Vyl Daemith, it makes no much sense to do another one just changing VD for Nebet. We wanted variety and every main girl to appear twice on the Harem H-scenes. Believe me, it's not an easy thing. Of course there'll be combinations that won't appear ( VD + Siaren, or Nebet + Alison), but when you choose something, you have to renounce to something else. About Alison and the endings...just wait. You haven't see any Epilogue yet :)

Obviously this is simply my personal opinion and as you two said yourselves you'd make the decisions regardless of what we choose (as you should), I would say make the 1.0 update BIG this is the game finally coming out of "Beta" so it should be something that takes some extra time, just as always be yourselves and give yourselves time and rest to work frantically on this game, we care about you guys! So personally BIG 1.0 and then small bonus. Kinda like what Eric suggested. I don't worry with you because you are ALWAYS keeping us in the loop which is something not a lot of other creators can claim, so if you choose to do the big update let us know that it'll be longer and just keep communicating with us, that seriously is what makes you stand out amongst other Patreon game makers (and even some Triple A game studios). As always thank YOU for the awesome work you do!
