I love Earl. But I'm with Feefo, ever since SRS, I have not been a fan of the lazy, uninspired type of flow and his voice being super monotone. It gets super boring and I hate saying that cause I love Earl

Anonymous

Lol earl is a doom baby so feefos unimpressed statement makes sense. Imo him, navy blue, MIKE, and JID are the nicest of the young dudes

Yeah I remember Al saying that him and Earl made an album and they hid it somewhere on YouTube a while back. And what confirmed that this is probably that album is the last song “Free the Ruler”. Earl is talking about Drakeo the Ruler who passed away in late 2021 so it was probably recorded sometime in 2020 or earlier when he was having legal troubles and everybody in LA was yelling free the ruler. Side note: Earl actually remixed a Drakeo song a couple years back called “Ion Rap Beef”which is a super west coast beat and something I never thought I’d hear Earl over and he ripped it. When I heard that and some other unreleased tracks of him rapping over trap and drill beats, coupled with the album run he was on, I truly thought Earl was the best rapper in the world. I feel like he should be in all time great discussions when it’s all said and done but idk if his music will be popular enough for people to consider him in that light.

Huge fan of MIKE and Navy Blue. Akai Solo is super nice too.

That's so interesting. I'm the opposite. I liked the stuff pre-SRS, but since SRS I've become a bigger fan. Maybe there's a larger dichotomy among fans of his work than I realized.

would love to hear feefo's reaction to the loosie he dropped "Danity Kane (Making the Band)"

Lets gooo been waiting for this one.

I would be perfectly fine and prefer if the Patreon bonus content was album reviews for stuff that wouldn’t make it on the main channel

Anonymous

Crazy that nobody talked about Free the Ruler or Deadzone. Surprised nobody caught the takashi 69 bar on Heat Check too

eoin

love that you guys fucking with Mike now. A burning desire review would be amazing!!

BlueZones

These Patreon exclusives are great, Mike’s newest should definitely be in the chamber if y’all got the time!

BlueZones

Yeah, like aside from a classic review, maybe a new hip-hop album once a month that might not get the same engagement in the YouTube algorithm

Y’all should check out Faith is a Rock. It’s MIKE, wiki, and alchemist. Don’t think y’all have really talked about Wiki since Ratking which you guys didn’t care for but you should give him another try. Also MIKE’s new solo album is great too.

Mancala is a game where you move gems into these holes from spot to spot to win. That’s just a rough explanation but that’s why earl has that line about dropping gems and them staying in one place

Anonymous

Feefo saying he doesn’t like earl cause he sounds lazy but him being obsessed with Larry June is wild that’s the reason I like both of em

Anonymous

Hahaha feefo tryna tell someone whos a lyrical genuis is comical

FigLeaf Bicarbonate

Exactly, I found it hilarious. He likes Larry June who has that lazy flow and doesn't really say anything in his bars or lyrically but he don't like people like Earl or Roc Marciano.

Y'all gooooottttttt toooooo review Mike. I know his album is a couple months old already but still. He deserves it.
