The weeknd was never a group. He has in house producers on his label XO, Illangelo being 1, but they work with other mainstream artists as well.

I think i first heard Weeknd from Drake’s “Take Care” (which ended up originally being The Weeknd’s project that Drake high jacked). I came to HoB with my expectations set and he blew them away! I used to describe Abel around this time as MJ who embraced the dark side of the industry. Nowadays i say he’s a real life Dracula luring women in with sex and drugs, but mad he can’t find another pure vampire
