A very influential album. Alot of Tupac clones popped up from dmx, ja rule even all the way to lil Zane all these guys copied a part of what made Tupac Tupac and tried to be their best version of him

Yes because all of 2Pac’s albums are iconic. The thing is it could be praised for individual songs more than it could be praised as a full body of work. It wasn’t nearly every song on here that made it a classic, but Pac’s delivery mixed with the amazing production on songs like “No More Pain”, “All Eyez on Me”, and “Only God Can Judge Me” that made it a classic.

Ambitionz az a Ridah, How Do You Want It, 2 of Americaz Most Wanted, Only God Can Judge Me, Life Goes On, I Ain’t Mad at Cha, Rather Be Ya Nigga, Picture Me Rollin? Those songs along could make an album. This shit is beyond iconic man. Nuff said!

This album and Makaveli made him immortal. After his death these and Me Against The World were his best bodies of music and dude started predicting his death, or just putting it into the universe on those albums and that made it more "shocking" and iconic.

Please review this album.

You know.. I've never put my finger on why, but I never cared for that song. Its not bad or anything, I just always found myself skipping it as a shorty and teenager.

Also his last 3 while he was alive were just undeniably stupid good

Hell yes this album is iconic! I remember when I was in elementary school kids had the poster on their walls. The California Love video is still fire (208 million views on YouTube). The album is certified Diamond. Ambitionz Az a Ridah and All Bout U have been on my commute playlist for at least the past year. It made 2Pac the most recognized rapper of that time and it still holds up.

Lot's of great songs, iconic. One of my most played albums ever. But one of the draw backs is that there are too many songs, don't get me wrong the more Pac the better but there was a fair amount of filler/skippables on this. I feel if it was just one CD it would have been better. But that's just me.

Absolutely. He got shot, robbed, (humiliated), sent to prison, wild stories popped up about him, lost his crew (also turned on some of his crew out of distrust/paranoia) and then Bad Boy blew up while he was in prison. That's a recipe for disaster/failure. According to his own notes (letter to Chuck D) he sold his soul to the devil (DR) and AYOM was his reward. To come back with "I won't deny it, I'm a straight rider.." - the first song alone makes this album iconic, the rest is just the icing on the cake. I feel like the legacy of this album also is linked to HIT EM UP tho.

2pac’s death row records debut was a comeback like no other. Fresh out on bail thanks to Suge Knight, PAC teamed with some of the best in the business (Dre, Snoop, Nate, etc) to release his biggest hits that hit everybody’s soul. I remember California Love’s widespread appeal (even my parents were fans). Nevertheless, PAC was still able to keep it real and remain true to himself and his beliefs as well. It’s a great album (his 2nd best IMO). When most people think of PAC its imagery from the album art or videos. This was also the last album he was alive for. Definitely one of the MOST iconic albums in hip ho— musical history.

I feel like this album is iconic just because of all the history behind that album, not even counting the music itself, which many consider to be his best.
