[Christmas Animation Video] I am Trouble (Party Hard) (Patreon)

Late Merry Christmas everyone!

I hope you are enjoying your long weekend so far. My Christmas holidays were unfortunately unnecessarily stressful. Due to some  private circumstances it was hard for me to just relax and find fun or the time to sit on some drawings, as I initially intended to do.

This animation video was one of those things I wanted to wrap up in time before Christmas Eve, but obviously my plans didn't work out that way. At least, I'm finally done and think it turned out nice. This video might look simplistic but actually pushed my computer and my animation tool to their limits since  a lot of sprite rendering stuff is going on in the background.

This is a fan animation related to Party Hard, an indie multiplayer game developed by Pinokl Games. I played this game with my best friend a couple of years ago and had much fun. Its premise was also a bit morbid since the game's objection was too completely kill all guests on every party mission, but by no means, the narration was never meant to be taken seriously since there are many silly and creative ways to get rid of the NPC targets. The retro-inspired music by Ressa Schwarzwald was the cherry on the cake and contributed greatly to the atmosphere.

Since the game OST inspired me to create this animation in the first place, I asked her for permission to use a specific track from the game for this video. And I'm overjoyed and grateful since she was fine with it!

If you're curious about some process insights: I uploaded my complete animation project folder for this video in my drive for the higher tier. Don't expect too much though. It was my very first ambitious animation project and therefore the structure of my PSD file and the video file might look a bit chaotic. I made use of almost every feature of my animation tool during the creation process, which will come in useful for future projects. I try to keep my next animation project a bit more simple this time.
