The process for this artwork turned out quite experimental. To make the water look more transparent I used multiple layers and different opacities. I duplicated the water texture which is one the lowest position in the PSD hierarchy and clipped it into the body from the girl.

Then I erased almost everything until only the section around the innertube and her lower legs were left. At this point I used a weak eraser to eliminate a slight trace of the water and added a foam layer over the rest. I made sure that the legs of her can be still seen through the clipping water layer and lighten up the foot part below to gai an interesting glow effect. It was a spontaneous decision but in the end I was satisfied how it turned out since the water look clean and pure this way.
