The two wives of general Gremorey during their time as young maids of the Malevolus household. At first glance they look like sisters. Rayn (on the left) is Winrow's mother while Chaleure is Chaudine's (on the right). Chaleure is an illegitimate child and therefore was abandoned by her family while Rayn was a runaway.

At the current point of time I don't want to give too much away about both background stories and their relationship with Winrow's and Chaudine's father but at least I can tell you that their fates have a huge impact on the whole inheritance plot and the later story arcs.
