So far by now you might have noticed those colored symbols which can be seen whenever one of the character uses their Ultima. Those signs are called magic seals and can be described as a basic magical phenomenon caused by the focused circulation of mana spheres.

Every organism that is able to cast magic can visualize an unique magic seal. A talented caster is able to master multiple Ultimas. However, it is impossible for an individual magical entity to possess more than one magic seal. Therefore magic seals are also commonly called 'magic fingerprints', since every person can be identified by their own magic seal. Newest photography techniques make it possible to depict magic seals on photographs.
