I support people; if they want to take their life, that's a bad thing, but it's still their choice. I support my trans friends. I hope they find their happiness. My father committed suicide when I was 13; I will never get to ask him "Why?" but I have studied his life up to that point as best I can and I respect his choice in how he did it [Stopped his heart medication, went back to the reservation, died.] I saw this and thought for a moment I was going to see the 'Flashback rewind zoom in "there it is" ' like you'v edited a few other vids. But I think that would distract from the quiet chill of Story time... which isn't about the edits, or really even the game, the game is a backdrop, scenery, and perhaps ambiance.

Taking away the right for people to do what they want with their own bodies would be a statement that individuality is wrong. To live in a free state that values the rights of individuals, is to destroy or mutilate your own body if you want. Just don't expect help. If you don't care about your body, then why should anyone else, right?

I'm kind of on the fence with the issue. Yes, people should have the freedom to do anything they want with their own bodies. Suicide is something I can't make a broad statement on. Dying to invite pity is stupid, but there are a lot more reasons for it than that. But I might be more understanding of the transgender journey specifically if someone would finally explain to me what a gender is. Is it biological or physical? No, because male and female brains are identical except for hormone levels, and people are considered trans before hormone therapy or surgery, to say nothing of chromosomes. Is it spiritual? The spiritual people might say yes, those who aren't would say no. Psychological? Then what part of psychology is it? A preference? A disorder? Is it conditioned, inborn, a conscious decision made by the subject? Why does that psychology give way to suicidal regret when they make it to the other side? Ask them any of these questions and they'll turn you away for "making them uncomfortable," which implies they don't know either and don't want to make a call. Either way, if no one's willing to give an explanation, how is ANYONE supposed to understand and support them sincerely? If we have to just take their word for it, it's necessarily going to be a very disingenuous form of support.
