An observation and a comment. First, at the end of the previous episode as the kid was standing there on the shore, I realized he looks like a Star Trek Redshirt. Sorry kid, you gon' die! :P And second, a sort-of drawback to this game is that it's a platformer with only 2D motion. There's so much in the background that looks so fascinating to go explore, but it's forever inaccessible to the player. Kinda like one of those really detailed dreams that are set in a beautiful and intricately detailed place, but we never stray from the dream script and can't explore what our minds created.

I've noticed that too. There have been several things I've wanted to run to the background and inspect, but I can't!

I'm just the opposite: I love cheese puffs but can't stand Cheetos/cheez curls. To me they're like eating desiccated sweaty feet with cheese powder on them. This game is so beautifully well done! The artists (yes, I consider them artists) put together an incredibly intricate world and put so much into the atmosphere of it for that dark, creepy, dystopian feel. Is it futuristic? Is it some time in the past? Is it a totalitarian dictatorship a la "1984" or is it a country on the losing side of war time? There are so many questions that they've so far left open. I continue to be fascinated by the environment the kid is exploring. BTW, a friend of mine has the hypothesis that this game is a prequel to Limbo, in that if the kid dies at the end of this game he'll find himself in the Limbo underworld.

The cheese puffs are actually just cheetos with air injected into them so they take up more space in the bag. :) And agreed. It's an extremely well done game. And it looks amazing. The soundtrack is a bit minimal, but it's really effective. I like this game!
