I call instant coffee "baker's coffee" because it tastes terrible on its own but is great baked into brownies and stuff.

My favorite coffee is a liquid concentrate from Douwe Egberts brand. The restaurant-style coffee-on-tap machines are about $3000, but I got one at auction for $30. Unfortunately I don't have a house with a kitchen that can accommodate something size, so it's still sitting in Chubbs da Horse's (your webhost's) basement. In the meantime I'm stuck making instant coffee (the only way I can make decent decaf coffee) or buying ground regular coffee for the coffee maker. Hopefully once the housing market opens up more I'll be able to find a house with a good enough sized kitchen that I can install that thing. (I'd love to donate its use to MFF for their con suite, especially since the front panel can be replaced with furry art, but one plan at a time.) Years ago when I was getting a physical from my vet, she recommended that I cut way back on my caffeine consumption because I had high blood pressure, since at the time I was drinking a pot and a half a day. I'd built up a strong caffeine tolerance/dependence, so the caffeine withdrawal resulted in a migraine that lasted a solid 7 days. That made for a shitty vacation trip!
