Yay! Alcon is one of my all time favorite games! I have it on my Commodore 64. In some markets the title was Slapfight for some reason, which sounds more like a hockey game (because I also have a hockey game named Slapfight). The strategy you want for this game is to use at least the first two power stars for the speed upgrade. Maybe the third as well, depending on how comfortable you feel the speed is. It increases the ship's speed across the screen so it isn't so sluggish, rather than increasing the scrolling speed. Then start building them up for the homing missiles. When you get that upgrade, it'll shoot out up to 8 missiles that go after everything on the screen. I'd recommend against the wing upgrades because those just make you a bigger target, even if they give you a wider shot. And the music in this game was just awesome. You're so right about games being works of art! Hey, I got the cover art scanned and uploaded if you want to see it. Since the package is bigger than my scanner platten, the edges were lifted up in places so it couldn't get a good focus, but you get the gist of it.
