I have Afterburner on my Commodore 64 and I used to love playing that game! I had a joystick that mimicked the jet fighter control stick with the trigger buttons on the stick itself, freeing up my other hand to use the space bar to launch missiles (if I remember right). It started out not quite as hard as the arcade version and I could get past the first few levels, maybe 4 or so, but once I flipped the disk to side 2, the levels got just crazy hard and I never got past more than about one more stage. It doesn't look quite as good as the arcade version of course, due to the graphics limitations of the C64, but the music is just amazing as composed by Jeroen Tel and the Maniacs Of Noise. I'll have to fire that game up one of these days and see how well I do!
