Just before watching this video I was watching your rant from AC 2014, which has been in my "watch later" list for years. I had to laugh so hard when you were in a segment talking about random people spooging, and Lauren the ASL interpreter translated that into a jerk-off motion. She and Bic are such troopers! Anyway, I for one always tip above and beyond what is customary, unless the server happens to be particularly terrible. It's something I got from my dad when I was a kid, when he'd always tip bigger than usual. What's strange is that in his later years he would argue that I was leaving too big a tip, when I thought it was perfectly fine without being overboard. Even my mom would argue that I was tipping too much, and she was a waitress for over 20 years! Listening to Mom's stories from the restaurant, I heard plenty about customers who would stiff the waitresses, or leave just a few cents, or would tip based on how cute they thought the waitress was. Seems like she'd know what it's like to get a pathetic tip, and how nice it is to get a large tip. Over the years I've known people who get a sort of giddy delight in stiffing someone out of a tip, whether a server at a restaurant or a housekeeper at a hotel. I just don't get it and it pisses me off that people can be like that. And yes, I've had blowhards in my life, always talking themselves up to greater and greater heights with big stories. Some of them are at work, and they are quite irritating to be around. Some are friendly enough to be tolerable, and others are just pricks.
